Zakres tematyczny
Digital media characteristics. Sound and image perception. Importance of the color management and the role of color profiles.
Multimedia input (digital still cameras, video cameras, microphones, scanners) and output (monitors, printers, plotters, 3D printers, speakers) devices. Device parameters and methods for device selection.
Use of digital cameras. Principles of photography. Camera and lens selection based on the photographed scene: macro photography, pack shot, news photography.
Digital image processing. Image formats. Analysis and editing of digital images. Principles of typography.
Use of digital video cameras. Principles for video capture. Advertisements. Principles of movie editing for the Internet.
Audio. Audio acquisition. Principles of audio processing (denoise, special effects, filtration). Video and audio integration and synchronization.
Content creation. Using digital stock photo banks. Creation of landing pages. Selecting proper content parameters (resolution, size, format).
Principles of business graphics. Posters, invitations, business cards, folders and pictures. Creating digital presentations.
Content publishing. Use of Internet content distribution networks, incliding YouTube, Fotolia, Picasa Web, social networks, discussion forums, Kickstarter, Live publishing using streaming media.

Lecture - oral or written test administered at the end of the semester.
Lab - final grade is a weighted average for all elements of the course. A grade is given for the preparation to the task (written test) and a practical result of the task.
Final grade = Weighted average calculated with 40% lecture mark and 60% lab mark.
