Cel przedmiotu

The aim of this course is to familiarize students with basic film terminology and provide them with general knowledge for analyzing and interpreting movies. It is also to discuss the structure and significance of the film history, language and techniques.  Additionally, significant consideration will be given to film literature and functioning of film within broader contexts of American and European cultures. American film specificities and topics related to film culture will be discussed as well.
