Cel przedmiotu

The Polish Civil Law governs the civil law relations between natural and legal persons. It consists substantive law and procedural law. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the general principles of the Polish Civil Law and with the provisions of “The Civil Code” (substantive law). The objective of the lecture is to introduce foreign students to the structure and the institutions of the Polish Civil Law. The course also aims at providing foreign students with some practical information they will need, if and when they deal with Polish law in the professional context of providing legal advice to their foreign clients, and when they cooperate with their Polish counsel.

Requisite and incompatibility

General knowledge in the scope of principles of the Polish Civil Law, in particular – “The Civil Code”.
