Strengthening knowledge in the field of traditional methods of production scheduling (PERT, GANTT, CPM, MPM) and acquiring skills in the use of innovative methods of production scheduling (DSM). Using computer programmes to schedule production using evolutionary algorithms and artificial intelligence.
Forecasting and simulation in the enterprise, Production and service management, Concurrent engineering / Concurrent engineering in production engineering, Cost accounting for engineers.
Lecture
The basics of the technological and production process. Decomposition of the enterprise. Supporting project management using MS Project software and using the GANTT bar chart method and the PERT network schedule. Scheduling algorithm (setting the start and end time of individual tasks). Introduction of tasks to MS Project and creation of relations between tasks. Searching, sorting and tracking the hierarchical structure of tasks. Analysis of relations between tasks in the CPM method on a standard example (activities immediately preceding). Introducing tasks to the MAGProject system and optimisation of processes using the genetic algorithm. Analysis of the structural matrix in terms of concurrency, parallelism and the sequentiality of the production process.
Project
Methods and techniques for scheduling production processes. Designing manufacturing systems. Modelling and simulation of production systems. Production planning and scheduling. Flow planning in terms of resource constraints. TOC - Theory of limitations in production scheduling. Planning, production control and control strategies - flow control principle.
Audio-visual lectures. The ‘brainstorming’ method was used during lectures. Teamwork during the implementation of design exercises.

Lecture: Grading, on the basis of a written test, covering verification of basic knowledge.
Project: Grading is based on the skills assessment component, related to the implementation of project tasks with preparation of a report and its "defence" by the student.
Final rating: the arithmetical mean of grades from individual classes.
