Knowledge of the basic taxonomy, systematics, evolution, phylogenesis and embryology of invertebrates and protozoa; knowledge of relevant for human beings groups and species (eg. parasites and pests) as well as protected and endangered species in Poland; identification of
the basic invertebrate groups; perfecting skills in using laboratory equipment, perfecting the ability to critically analyze, interpret and describe the results of the observations.
Knowledge about the invertebrate zoology within minimum high school requirements.
The lectures: history of research on invertebrates with particular regard to the contributions of Polish zoologists; research methodology for invertebrate fauna of terrestrial and aquatic environments; divisions of the animal world; characteristics of the types of invertebrate animals; factors affecting the biodiversity of invertebrates. Laboaratory: basics techniques of laboratory work with particular regard to microscopic observation; taxonomy, structure, development of invertebrates based on selected examples; identificating examples of invertebrates animals.
Presentation (lecture in the form of the ppt presentation).

The lectures-. the test is conducted in the written form, it lasts 60 minutes and contains 50 close questions. 60% of the points out to get the pass mark credit The laboratory classes – the attendance at classes, the laboratory experiments carried out correctly and the pass mark credit of 4 tests checking for understanding 3 tests cheking for skills (70% of the points out are required to get the pass mark credit), report of the exercises; final rating - arithmetic mean of partial evaluation.
