The aim of the course is to understand which diseases and conditions are treated by urologists and which patients should be referred to the specialist. To know strategies of initial evaluation of patients with symptoms from the urinary and male genital tract. Furthermore, to get acquainted with urgent conditions and their consequences. To be able to carry out differential diagnosis and get familiarised with the initial management of urological patients.
A2 level of English knowledge.
Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the urinary tract.
1. Hospital procedures.
2. Urological Diseases and their symptoms.
3. Emergency in urology.
4. Urolithiasis
5. Urological oncology
6. Traumatology of the genitourinary tract
7. Urinary tract infections
Students participate in the urology ward activities, take part in the ward rounds, perform urology examination and ultrasound of the urinary tract. Further, students are supposed to assist in basic urological interventions and observe major urological endoscopic procedures.

Seminar ends with credit evaluation, which is the average mark obtained by the student during class participation. The methods of verification of learning outcomes is oral exam or multiple choice test with following thresholds: 51-60% - satisfactory, 61-70% - satisfactory plus 71-80% - good, 81-90% - good plus 91-100% - very good.
