Aim of the course

By the end of the course, the students should be able to develop creative possibilities in workshop graphics, and develop their individual style of expression in art. The workshops include gravure, printing, digital printing, lithography, offset lithography and spatial graphics. Using the experience gained on the course, students will be able to produce their own work.

Prerequisites

Students are required to present a portfolio of their work prior to starting the course. This will facilitate the teaching. It is assumed that students selecting this course have knowledge of the history of art, including the history of graphics.

Scope

Students will be acquainted with the technological and artistic possibilities in graphic studios in the field of: intaglio, linocut, digital printing, serigraphy and lithography. Students will broaden their knowledge of graphic arts as a contemporary language of art. Knowledge of a historical and cultural context of graphics is discussed.

Teaching methods

Classes are held in the graphic studio. Students will make graphic works based on the topics proposed by the workshop teachers. They can also suggest their own topics. After selecting the project, techniques, methods and ways of printing are selected. Discussing ways of displaying works.

Assignment conditions

The student will be assessed on the basis of participation and activity in class. You will be required to submit a certain number of works. Independence and creativity will be assessed.
