Familiarizing the student with methods of cost estimation, risk assessment as well as managing and organizing projects related to the development of IT systems.
Knowledge of the basics of object-oriented concepts and methods, object-oriented programming and the basics of SQL and databases.
Lecture
1. Discussion of the basics of risk analysis, monitoring and control in an IT project.
2. Presentation of an example group work support system and software versioning system.
3. Discussion of the standards: ISO/IEC 9126 regarding the quality of software as a product, as well as the ISO 9126 standard for assessing software quality.
4. Implementation of an example project using CASE tools to support the work of teams participating in the project.
Project
Installation, configuration and use of the Eclipse platform as a design, testing, management and versioning platform as well as sample implementation - at least three functionalities of an IT system project in J2EE technology.
Traditional lecture, design exercises, talks and group discussions.

The final grade for the course takes into account the grade for the project (65%) and the grade for the exam (35%), assuming that the student has achieved all the expected learning outcomes to a sufficient degree. The condition for passing the course is positive grades for the project and exam.
