Aim of the course

Psychological preparation for working with adolescents and adults.

Prerequisites

The credits from the subjects of Psychology and Psychology 1.

Scope

  1. Development in late adolescence and early adulthood: cognitive, emotional-social, moral development. (B.1.W2., B.1.U1.)

  2. The formation of identity: conditions conducive to identity formation, types of identity (J. Marcia's concept). (B.1.W2., B.1.U1.)

  3. Threats in late adolescence: identity confusion, eating disorders, feelings of exclusion and loneliness. (B.1.W2., B.1.U1, B.1.K2.)

  4. Emerging adulthood:  J. J. Arnett's concept. Formation of individual lifestyle. Problems of young adults. Awareness of one's own development. (B.1.W2., B.1.U2., B.1.U8., B.1.K1.)

  5. Disorders emerging in late adolescence and early adulthood: schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, impulse disorders, sexual disorders. (B.1.W2., B.1.U1, B.1.K2)

  6. Supporting the individuality of young people in their quest for own identity and career path: conducting conversations, forms of assistance. (B.1.W2., B.1.U2, B.1.U8., B.1.K2., B2.W7.)

  7. Developmental crises in different periods of adulthood: symptoms, coping mechanisms, the impact of developmental crises on intergenerational relationships. (B.1.W5., B.1.U7., B.1.K1.)
