The main objective of the course is to present both theoretical and practical aspects of international economics, economic relations (models, methods, instruments, economists' views) and contemporary patterns of international exchange and related economic policy, as well as its effects. The practical goal is to develop students' sensitivity to institutional conditions and the role of institutions in coordinating international exchange and the ability to use the acquired knowledge.

Lectures: Introduction to the subject, familiarization with the program of lectures, the structure of classes and the form of crediting, familiarization with the available literature related to the discussed issues, a general outline of the subject matter. Globalization and regionalization in the contemporary world economy. Motives, manifestations and effects of regional economic integration. Exchange rate and inflation - the Balassa-Samuelson effect. exchange rate policy. International money - benefits, costs, opportunities and threats. Cryptocurrencies. International capital flows. Theories of foreign direct investment and portfolio investment. International environment. Transnational corporations. Rating agencies. The place of the fourth industrial revolution in international economics. Classical and contemporary theories of international exchange. The role and influence of foreign trade on the size and structure of DN. Trade policy - tools and their application in international trade. Trade in goods and services. Competition on the international market. International flows of factors of production. International financial markets. International debt. Financial crises - sources and effects.
Exercises: Classical and contemporary theories of international exchange. The role and influence of foreign trade on the size and structure of DN. International flows of factors of production and international trade in goods and services. Trade policy - tools and their application in international trade. Exchange policy and exchange rate. Trade policy in developing countries and highly industrialized countries. International economic institutions.
As part of the lecture: a conventional lecture using the visualization method (overhead projector, multimedia projector), and as part of the exercises: the classic problem method, discussion, group work.

The condition for passing the classes is the development and presentation in groups of presentations related to the subject. The number of points obtained is divided by group members according to their individual contribution to the presentation. The grade from the exercises will depend in 50% on the points received for the prepared presentation and in 50% on the activity in individual classes. The condition for passing the lectures is a positive credit in the form of a test
