Cel przedmiotu

The purpose of the course is to obtain basic knowledge of the construction and operation of systems of innovation and their conditions.

Zakres tematyczny

Lecture:
Economics of innovation and innovation process, innovation processes in industry. Different aggregations of systems of innovation. The theory of clusters. Institutional and neo-institutional Theories of firms in innovation systems. Methodological principles of construction of innovation strategies in the European Union. Sources of IS financing. The practice of IS construction in countries. Unitary, federal, regional. Best practices in the process of IS creation in EU countries, the United States and Japan, Determinants of innovativeness of Polish enterprises. Conditions of functioning of the Polish economy and its innovative potential. The process of IS construction in Poland. The effects of the IS in Poland in the context of the experience of other countries.

Exercises:
Analysis of international and national systems of innovation. Analysis of selected determinants of innovativeness of systems of innovation.

Metody kształcenia

Wykład: prezentacja multimedialna z elementami konwersatoryjnymi.
Ćwiczenia: studium przypadku, prezentacja multimedialna, metoda projektowa, praca w grupach.

Warunki zaliczenia

Lecture - exam in oral form. The condition for taking the exam is a positive grade from the exercises.
The course grade consists of the grade from exercises (50%) and from the exam (50%). The prerequisite for passing the course is positive grades from exercises and exam.
An alternative way to pass the exercises is to participate in a scientific study that includes the characteristics of regional systems of innovation in Poland.
