Cel przedmiotu

The purpose of the course is to make students aware of the role of business support institutions in the processes of stimulating entrepreneurship and accelerating innovation processes in enterprises at various stages of development regionally and nationally.

Zakres tematyczny

Lecture: The role of business support institutions in Poland and around the world. Characteristics of innovation centers (technology parks, technology incubators, academic business incubators, technology transfer centers). Characteristics of entrepreneurship centers. Characteristics of financial institutions (venture capital funds, business angel networks, local and regional loan funds, credit guarantee funds). State and dynamics of development of innovation support infrastructure in Poland. Selected problems in the functioning of business support institutions.
Exercises: Analysis of the functioning of business support institutions in Polish conditions.

Metody kształcenia

Lecture: lecture with conversational elements, exercises with the use of case study, multimedia presentation 
Exercises: development of a project, work in groups

Warunki zaliczenia

Exercises - the grade of the exercises consists of the results achieved on the colloquia (80%) and activity in class (20%).
Lecture - credit in oral form (K_W02). The prerequisite for passing is a positive evaluation from exercises (K_U03;K_K03). The course grade consists of the grade from
exercises (50%) and a passing grade from the lecture (50%). The prerequisite for passing the course is a positive grade from the exercises and a passing grade from the lecture.
An alternative way to pass the exercises is to participate in a scientific study that includes the identification of the activity of business support institutions in building the innovative potential of the innovative potential of Polish industry.
