The aim is to provide knowledge about the problems of regional and local economy that affect the economic condition of the entire country. The goal is also to develop practical skills in the preparation for the use of knowledge in their work.

As part of its classes: economic processes and accompanying phenomena in the local economy and at the regional level. Significantly, sustainable development. Understanding the changing environment. The rules for granting subsidies for investments under EU projects. Problems related to rural development and other issues related to regional and local economy. Analysis of selected problems of regional and local economy on an example of the selected country.

Students are obliged to obtain a assessment from the evaluation classes. Assessment is subject to the preparation and presentation of the paper with a set theme using multimedia techniques, 20-30 minutes of presentation time. After speaking the paper is discussed and is assessed student activity led discussion.
In addition, students will write a test. To get a positive grade, students must answer 60% of questions correctly. Written test is conducted on the basis of open-ended questions at the end of the course.
