Cel przedmiotu

Mastering the ability to write simple programs in Python using basic data structures while observing the principles of structured programming.
The student acquires knowledge and skills in the basics of algorithm analysis.

 

Wymagania wstępne

Computer skills. Knowledge of mathematics at high school level.

Zakres tematyczny

Lecture

  1. Computer system. Hardware and software. Algorithm, programming language, program, compiler, interpreter, program action network.
    Computer arithmetic. Programming methodologies.
  2. Basics of programming in Python. Program structure. Standard simple types: integer, real, logical, character. Variable declarations. Assignment statement. Conditional and iterative instructions. Arrays, operations on arrays. The concept of object and class. Static methods. Enum type.
  3. Properties of algorithms. Computational complexity of algorithms. Semantic correctness of the algorithm. Asymptotics.
  4. Methodology for solving algorithmic problems.

Laboratory

  1. Flowcharts.
  2. Basic elements of the Python language. Standard simple types, arithmetic and logical expressions, ariable declarations.
  3. Writing and running simple programs with assignment and conditional instructions.
  4. Writing and running programs containing iterative instructions.
  5. Array processing.
  6. String processing.
  7. Static methods: creating and calling.
  8. Launching a self-prepared application using all the skills acquired during classes.

Metody kształcenia

Lecture

Problem lecture.

Laboratory

Laboratory exercises in a computer room - writing and running self-written programs on topics given by the instructor, analysis of these programs and analysis of the algorithms used. Students will work on some programs in groups of 2-3 people. In addition, each student is obliged to present during the last laboratory a self-written application, which is a program containing all the elements of the programming language previously learned during classes, along with documentation in accordance with the given specification.

Warunki zaliczenia

Lecture

An exam verifying the effects of education in the field of knowledge and skills. The exam consists of two parts, written and oral. The condition for taking part in the oral part is to obtain 30% of the points in the written part. Obtaining 50% of the points in the written part guarantees a positive grade.

Laboratory

The final grade is based on the points obtained in the classes. Points are obtained for tests written during classes, applications presented during the last classes, and activity during classes.

The course grade consists of the laboratory grade (50%) and the exam grade (50%). The condition for taking the exam is a positive grade from the laboratory. The condition for passing the course is a positive grade in the exam
