**Knowledge:** Mastery of knowledge and project skills in the theory and principles of architectural design for sports and recreational buildings and facilities, including site development, taking into account contemporary regulations, technological and ergonomic guidelines, shaping the form and aesthetics of buildings, functional and spatial solutions, interior furnishings and publicly accessible areas, building surroundings with recreational spaces, pedestrian and bicycle pathways, parking areas, and other accompanying structures. Additionally, understanding interdisciplinary aspects of architectural design, the potential use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in architectural and urban design, and facilitating interdisciplinary coordination within the team of designers.
**Skills:** Proficiency in design skills, including digital tools for architectural design, the ability to assess technical and non-technical issues related to the impact of design decisions on the material, non-material environment, and human factors, practical skills in applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology commensurate with the knowledge acquired in previous semesters.
**Personal and social competencies:** Cultivating imagination, intuition, a creative attitude, and independent thinking in the pursuit of original architectural solutions, presenting one's own architectural ideas and design concepts, expressing opinions on interdisciplinary aspects of architectural design, and promoting an awareness of the need for collaboration with specialists at all stages of the design process.
No prerequisites.
**General knowledge of interdisciplinary aspects of architectural design**
**Computer skills and proficiency in architectural design software (Graphisoft ARCHICAD, Autodesk REVIT)**
Multifunctional sports halls with facilities for athletes and sports medicine, indoor swimming pools with spa centers, gyms, gymnasiums, artificial ice rinks, sports stadiums. Developed sports grounds for outdoor sports: outdoor sports fields with various types of surfaces, roofed stands, tennis courts, athletics stadiums, cycling tracks, water sports facilities, golf courses, tracks for car, bicycle or horse racing, etc. The project includes audience design. In the theoretical part, the lecturer explains the method of project implementation, the scope of legal standardization, and parameterization of building elements and sports facilities, shows examples of completed public utility facilities, presents the typology and issues of designing public utility architecture in the field of implemented topics. Design methods are discussed; application of technical solutions on an architectural and urban scale; ways of presenting and developing an architectural design as well as theoretical justification of the concept and methods of preparing a technical description of the project.
In the design part, students solve conceptual partial projects in the freehand technique and a digital model, related to solving functional systems of various types and elements of a public building for sports and recreation, and develop a final project
**Conveying methods** - conventional, problem-oriented, conversational, informational transmission.
**Exploratory methods** - project-based activities and laboratory sessions - promoting interdisciplinary education, fostering a creative mindset, searching for design ideas and new forms, discussions, individual and group work carried out according to the instructor's guidance.
