Getting acquainted with applied graphics as a field of visual arts related to visual identification (poster, logo, business card, press advertisement, internet banner) and with the general division of graphic techniques (gravure, relief, flat, screen printing), as well as selected techniques of relief printing (woodcut, linocut, gypsum, metalcut). Approximation of concepts such as: point, line, plane, shape, form, light, color, texture, contrast, symmetry, asymmetry in the context of the basic principles of graphic design and teaching the ability to correctly interpret a single form and the arrangement of forms as a composition on a plane and apply this skill to design the graphic layout of the printed text (typography). Gaining basic skills in the field of applied graphics in order to create simple graphic designs and implement your own artistic concept (e.g. designing your own logotype or business card). Gaining the ability to create a graphic matrix for an original project (e.g. a logo), in a graphic technique of your choice - in order to make a series of prints. Developing the ability to present one's own artistic concepts and their interpretation in selected graphic techniques. Learning the composition and formal and artistic solutions of architectural concept boards (competition, diploma, investor).
