To familiarize students with the basic mathematical models used in economics (mainly in microeconomics). Presentation of the possibilities and limitations of mathematical modeling in economics. Students will acquire the ability to formally describe basic economic concepts and the relationships between them.

Traditional lecture, blackboard exercises involving independent task solving, supported by the teacher, group discussions on task solving methods, individual consultations.

The final grade for the course takes into account the credit grade for the exercises (50%) and the grade for the lecture (50%), assuming that the student has achieved all the expected learning outcomes to a sufficient degree.
