Aim of the course

Improving the student's knowledge and skills about the content of the effective functioning of human society. Improving teamwork skills and individual work.

Prerequisites

Basics of knowledge about human and society - secondary school level.

Scope

Lecture:

Concepts of the organizations. Management. Social context of the decision. Thinking and creative problem solving. Social communication. Human resources. Behaviour and performance in organization. Ergonomics. Design methodology. The stress of work.

Classes:

Preparation of the team work (presentation) on a given topic. Preparation of the individual work (presentation) on a given topic. Present own interpretation of an assigned book or book chapter.

Teaching methods

Lecture, discussion, presentation, working with source documents.

Assignment conditions

The lectures - the student is required to get a positive mark for the written test - lasting 60 minutes (10 questions, each question - 1 point). To pass the written test with satisfactory mark it is necessary to obtain 6 points. (60%) of 10 points possible to obtain.

The classes – the requirements of the assessment criteria refer to the passing of one written test - passing more than 60% of all test scores, as well as the passing of written work/presentation in the form of teamwork on a given issue.

The final mark consists of the average of grades from lectures and classes.
