Cel przedmiotu

 

Polish Foreign Exchange Law regulates many issues related to the conduct of foreign exchange activities, departing from foreign exchange limitations and duties. Knowledge of the Polish Foreign Exchange Law is essential in the business of currency exchange offices. Polish foreign exchange law provides for complex regulations on foreign exchange inspection.

• Introduce the evolution of Polish Foreign Exchange Law
• Introduce the background of the Foreign Exchange Act
• Introduce concepts framing the scope of foreign exchange law
• Introduce principles of conducting foreign exchange activities
• Introduce foreign exchange limitations
• Introduce activity of currency exchange offices
• Introduce foreign exchange permits
• Introduce foreign exchange duties
• Introduce foreign exchange inspection

Metody kształcenia

Workload

Students will be collected in small groups for seminars and discussion session – regular lecture will not be provided. Students will generally need to devote about 20-30 hours on average per semester to this course. Forms of study: seminars, discussion sessions, case study.

Examination

Student works on a task to solve “the problem” connected with the application of Polish Foreign Exchange Law (case –study) and presents his/hers findings in working paper.

The preliminary reading required for this course will be available from the course (teacher) home page at least one week prior to every meeting with the teacher. The preliminary reading covers EU Treaties and the Act on Foreign Exchange Law.
