To familiarize students with the basic concepts of regulation and control of processes in environmental engineering installations.
Lecture program: Basic principles of regulation and process control. Regulation and control devices. Types of control systems. Types and methods of measurement. Single and multi-parameter regulation. Data collection and processing. Process control in closed and open systems. Visualization of device operating parameters. Principles of implementing control systems. The role of the technologist in the design of control systems. Algorithms for controlling processes and devices in the field of environmental engineering.
Design exercise program: Design of a control and regulation system for a selected technological process in the field of environmental engineering.

Design exercises: the basis for passing the exam is the timely submission of a properly completed automation and control project for a selected installation in the field of environmental engineering. Passing the lecture with a grade: obtaining at least 50% of the points provided for in the final test and/or oral answer or preparing and presenting a paper
The basis for determining the total grade is the weighted average obtained by adding: 0.5 grade for the lecture and 0.5 grade for laboratory exercises.
The weighted average is rounded to two decimal places. The total grade is determined on the basis of a weighted average according to the principle: below 3.24 - satisfactory, from 3.25 to 3.74 - satisfactory plus, from 3.75 to 4.24 - good, from 4.25 to 4.74 – good plus, from 4.75 – very good.
