Student gains knowledge about the invertebrate trapping methods, techniques, preservation and conservation of invertebrates, methods of collecting and recording the collected material gain skills in using equipment for field and laboratory research, improve the ability to recognize invertebrate animals with keys for determination, improves the ability to critically analyze, interpret and describe the results of research carried out. improves teamwork. Student acquires knowledge and practical skills in collection and identification of common cental-european bryophyte and vascular plant species.
Basic knowledge of invertebrate zoology systematic and systematic botany.
Qualitative and quantitative methods of trapping invertebrates. Trapping animals with extraction, manual sorting. Sorting and determination of material using optical equipment. Fixation and preservation collected species. Collecting and the record keeping of collected material. Determination of invertebrate animals using keys. Field methods of plants observation and collection. Determination of vascular plants and bryophytes using identification keys.
