Aim of the course

The aim is to enhance efficiency in using Polish language and to increase cultural awareness, linguistic sensitivity.

Scope

The course provides knowledge of broadly understood culture of language. Students are expected to familiarize with normative publications and ways of using them. It is opportunity to upgrade oral and written communication skills. Expected outcome of this course is using language in more comprehensible, more efficient way and compliant with legal principle. The module will explore current problems in correctness in pronunciation, inflection, tendencies in word formation and syntax. Special emphasis is put on issues connected with politeness in language and the ethics of words.
