Aim of the course

Self-writing the text under the control of a supervisor that satisfies the criteria for the Bachelor thesis. The work should provide a certain exhaustive approach to the problems posed, methods for solving these problems and presenting conclusions. While writing, the student should learn the methodology of searching for source materials and their proper use, editing the technical text, applying copyright law.

Prerequisites

Precised research interests and deeper knowledge of the literature on the subject of the thesis. Basics of writing technical texts and drawing figures and graphs illustrating the results obtained.

Scope

Thematic scope concerns the topic of the Bachelor thesis in relation to the student's interests and justification for the willingness to take up the relevant issues, underlining the possibilities and perspectives of using the acquired knowledge and experience in the course of writing a thesis. The proper subject literature and methods of work are selected for the chosen topic. In the case of experimental work, the student performs experimental research, describes the apparatus and results and then interprets them. In the case of theoretical work, the student solves a certain theoretical problem using appropriate mathematical methods and symbolic or numerical calculations. Theoretical work may also be of a review nature.

Teaching methods

Discussions with the supervisor on particular stages of work creation, self-work with literature, research apparatus, creating graphs and graphics with the help of appropriate software, discussion of the obtained results.
