Aim of the course

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the instruments of environmental operating in Polish and European law, knowledge and understanding of the choice of instruments to achieve environmental goals.

Prerequisites

Fundamentals of environmental protection at the high school level.

Scope

Environmental management systems. Institutions and corporate responsibility for the condition and environment. Risk assessment and management of environmental hazards standards and environmental standards. Environmental monitoring - the objectives and principles. Key indicators and acceptable standards of the environment - air, water and soil. The rules and regulations of Polish and international environmental impact assessment (EIA). Methods for performing the EIA. EIA reports for selected projects.

Teaching methods

Informative speech lecture with elements of problematic lecture in the form of a multimedia presentation. Exercises auditorium, group work, individual work.

Assignment conditions

To pass the exam is correct solution to the problem of problem, including the scope of a number of environmental protection measures.Provided credit is the active participation in the activities and the development of research results in the form of worksheets (positive rating over 60% of points scored).
