The aim of the subject is to provide knowledge about the problems of sustainable development, which affects the economy of the country and regions. The goal is also to develop practical skills in the preparation for the use of knowledge in their work.

As part of its classes: Sustainable development at the global, national, regional and local levels. Contemporary economic, ecological and social trends. International agreements, legal solutions in the field of environmental protection. Social problems of sustainable development. Sustainable development in the management of enterprises and institutions. Indicators of sustainable development. Practical aspects of sustainable development on the basis of selected regions.

Students are obliged to obtain a assessment from the evaluation classes. Assessment is subject to the preparation and presentation of the paper with a set theme using multimedia techniques, 20-30 minutes of presentation time. After speaking the paper is discussed and is assessed student activity led discussion.
The second exercise is subject to assessment method of a positive evaluation of screening test student knowledge of the assimilation theory presented the class, the correct response is required at least 60% of the questions. Written test is conducted on the basis of open-ended questions in the middle of the semester and at the end of the course.
