Cel przedmiotu

By the end of the course, the students will be able to develop creative possibilities in workshop graphics, and develop their individual style of expression in art. The workshops include intaglio, linocut, digital printing, lithography, offset lithography and spatial graphics. Using the experience gained on the course, students will be able to create their own work.

Wymagania wstępne

Students should have basic knowledge of workshop graphics, also history of graphics. They have knowledge of the history of art (including the history of graphics) and are aware of the problems of contemporary art and culture.

Zakres tematyczny

Students work in selected graphic techniques that will allow them to create graphics. The printing process plays a huge role. Printing in artistic graphics does not have to be a mechanical activity and can be an element of artistic creation. The program assumes the freedom and independence of the search. Students should deepen their technological knowledge, combine techniques and even experiment to find the means of artistic expression that would allow them to fulfill their own creative intentions in the most appropriate way. Students carry out their tasks on the basis of projects consulted and approved by the head of the studio. The scope of exercises and topics is related to the year of study and depends on the individual predispositions of the student.

Metody kształcenia

Classes take the form of exercises and classes in a graphic studio. Students create graphics based on the topics proposed by the teachers of the studio, and also create their own. After discussing the project on a given topic, the technique, method of execution and printing method are selected.
