Cel przedmiotu

Provide knowledge about cross cultural psychology, especially about the role of family structure in different culture. It course introduction to prepare to work with children and adolescent from minorities. It will present and discussion different models of acculturation in modern world. Additionally in this course is contented the different models of family life. This course is the introduction to work with families in crisis and difficult situation. Through these seminars students may complete knowledge about stress, stress disorders, crisis, structural family theory and role of cultural environment in family life. Additionally they can identify patterns of communication, contact, intimacy and time organized in families.

Wymagania wstępne

Basic course of psychology.

Zakres tematyczny

·         Theories of family life (Structural, system and communicative)

·         Normative and non normative events in family life and coping strategies

·         Olson’s theory of family develop.

·         Role of cultural environment in family life

·         Difficulties in family life

Metody kształcenia

Literature studies, discussion, observation in school environment and writing essays and key - studies.
