This course is designed to familiarize and equip students with the practical aspects of the functioning of state and public institutions. It will provide a various, often specific institutional and legal solutions used in modern democratic systems, as well as in nondemocratic. The main goal is not only to understand and explain how these democracy instruments work but also to show the practical aspects, expand students’ empirical knowledge of modern political systems through comparison of similarities and differences of political systems in selected countries.
