Cel przedmiotu

The aim of the course is for the student to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills through which the student describes the work environment, assesses the hazards of working in different environments, assesses occupational risk and takes possible preventive or corrective action.

Wymagania wstępne

Basics of human biology - secondary school level.

Zakres tematyczny

Ecology. Work environment. Physical work and workload. Overload and underload work. Energy expenditure. Working conditions. Microclimate. Noise. Lighting. Individual and team work. The stress of work. Occupational risk assessment. Occupational diseases and cumulative trauma disorders.

Metody kształcenia

Talk, discussion, demonstration (teaching), working with source documents.

Warunki zaliczenia

The student is required to get a positive mark for the written paper on the given topic and make a presentation to the group; get a positive mark for the activity in class and get a positive mark for the written test - lasting 60 minutes (10 questions, each question - 1 point). To pass the written test with satisfactory mark it is necessary to obtain 6 points. (60%) of 10 points possible to obtain. Final evaluation of the course is the arithmetic mean of positive partial marks.
