Cel przedmiotu

The aim of the course is for the student to acquire knowledge of the English language at the A2+ level, according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Wymagania wstępne

The following topics are covered within the course:

  1. Developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills at the A2+ level in everyday life situations.

  2. Mastering grammatical structures used to express the present, past, and future.

  3. Expanding cultural and civilizational knowledge focused on the lifestyle in English-speaking countries.

  4. Introduction to technical and specialist language in the field of management and production engineering.

       3. The specifics of production engineer work (scope of duties, job description, and workplace description.

       4. Recording data and specifications related to mechanical devices.

       5. Units of measurement.

       6. Work parameters, performance.

       7. Description of the design and operation of devices.

       8. Organization and safety at work.

       9. Description of the company.

      10. Organizational structure.

      11. Production processes.

      12. Fundamentals of Engineering Drawing

Metody kształcenia

  1. Communicative approach: This approach emphasizes communication and encourages students to use the language in authentic situations. It involves a lot of interactive activities such as role-plays, group discussions, and debates related to management and production engineering.

Warunki zaliczenia

The graded credit will be based on two written tests, which will verify the student's knowledge of the English language at the A2+/B1 level according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages, as well as on the component evaluating active participation and skills related to the completion of specific tasks - conducting presentations, written assignments, individual and group work. The final grade will be the average of these two components.
