To familiarize students with the classical social theories.

Classical Greek society and social thought.

Feudal Society and Its Ideology.

the Renaissance utopian ideas.

John Locke and Thomas Hobbes ideas.

The Enlightenment.

The industrial society – Claude Saint Simon.

Metody kształcenia

Lecture and Power Point presentation, discussing the readings, working out issues in groups. Individual student work (e.g. reading and analysis) according to the teacher's instructions.

Warunki zaliczenia

Written essay. Final grades: mark is based on the writtern essay and acrivities/participation in discussions durign the classes. The mark from the essay may be elevated for a half or one level. depending on the intesity of the activities.
