Cel przedmiotu

The aim of the course is providing students with knowledge about the developmental psychopathology, theories and causes, implication for prevention and therapy.

Wymagania wstępne

Basic knowledge about developemental and clinical psychology.

Zakres tematyczny

· Theoretical background.

· Historical roots.

· Conceptual issues: risk factors, maladaptation, vulnerability, resilience, continuity and change.

· Developmental pathways to disorders: sequence and timing of behavioural continuities and transformations, diversity in the process and outcome

· Psychopathology in life span: mental illness of adults, adolescents and children, personality disorders.

Metody kształcenia

Discussion, case studies, literature studies, presentations

Individual student work (e.g. reading and analysis) according to the teacher's instructions.
