To present knowledge of the essence, principles of strategic management. To show the role of strategic management in the development of enterprises. To learn about the processes of analysis strategic analysis, strategic planning and strategy implementation. To apply methods of strategic analysis, strategic planning and strategy implementation to solve management problems.
Basics of management, project management, macroeconomics, management concepts.
Lecture
The essence of strategic management; The essence, levels and types of strategy; The global and local context of strategy; The process of strategy formulation; The vision, mission and strategic goals of the organization; Competitiveness vs. competitive advantage of the organization; Methods of strategic analysis of the organization's environment; Strategic planning, Strategy implementation; Strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions; Strategic management under the impact of globalization and dynamic environment.
Exercises
Essence of strategy and strategic management; Levels and types of strategy; Application of methods: strategic analysis, strategic planning strategic planning, implementation of strategy.
Conventional lecture, multimedia presentation, case study analysis, project, teamwork, discussion.

Lecture:
Examination in written form - answer four questions from the issues applicable to the exam. The condition for receiving credit is to obtain min. 51% from the exam. Issues will be given to students one month before the exam. Students who have a positive grade from the exercises will take the exam.
Exercises:
Demonstrate knowledge of strategic management terminology; present the partial stages and the final project on strategic planning and strategy implementation; justify the choice of strategic planning and strategy implementation methods used; explain (justify) the results of the work. The grade for the exercises consists of the grade for the project (60%), grades for the exercises - a minimum of 2 exercises (40%).
The final grade for the course consists of positive marks from the lecture and exercises.
