To acquire knowledge, competence and skills in production and service management, organization of production and service space, modern methods of production management, and to familiarize with practical tools used in production and service management.
Lecture:
W1: The essence of production and service management.
W2, W3: Product (product or service) - design, quality, reliability, competition, demand forecasting, selection and design of technological process.
W4, W5, W6: Process - arrangement of equipment (subject, technological, mixed), norms of production flow control. Intracellular and extracellular control, capacity management, production flow analysis - simulation and analytical methods.
W7, W8: The enterprise - location, arrangement of facilities, selection of equipment, operating service, design of production systems.
W9, W10: Planning and control of production and service delivery.
W11, W12: Capacity management and scheduling.
W13, W14: Modern methods and systems of production and service management.
W15: Computer aided management of production and services.
Laboratory:
Classes in the form of presentations, analysis and discussion of practical cases, solutions and applications of methods from the field developed by groups of two to three students:
- design of production processes and systems (location, arrangement of facilities, selection of equipment, operational handling, design of production systems),
- quality assurance, reliability of products implemented in the technological process (use of QFD methods, FMEA, etc.),
- determination of production flow control norms,
- capacity management,
- production flow analysis - simulation and analytical methods,
- production and service delivery planning and control,
- capacity management and scheduling.
Lecture with multimedia presentation. Laboratory in the form of case analysis - case study, discussion, solving tasks.

Pass grade covering the range of knowledge presented in the lecture. Laboratory: credit for evaluation. The grade is determined by the component assessing the skills and competencies related to the implementation of computer experiments in the field of simulation of various variants of the implementation of production processes taking into account, among others, TOC, discussion of the obtained results, analysis of various cases of rational use of resources, and an oral credit colloquium on the issues covered in the lecture. The final grade consists of the lecture material (50%) and the laboratory grade (50%).
