The aim of this subject is the presentation of the essence of operations research in the context of business management. Particularly, issues related to modelling and solving decision and optimisation problems occurring in business management is considered, including the scope of using operations research in a contemporary company.
The scope of using methods related to operations research. Issues related to modelling decision and optimisation problems. Models related to linear programming, integer programming, network programming. Transport and allocation issues. Sensitivity analysis. Multi-criteria decision making in optimisation issues.
Conventional lecture, case study, presentation, discussion.
