Cel przedmiotu

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge, competence and skills in the field of financing business activity and familiarizing them with practical possible sources of financing enterprises at various stages of development.

Zakres tematyczny

Theoretical foundations of business financing; the concept of capital, its form and source of acquisition. Foreign capital (cost of capital) as a form of financing business activity. Diversification of sources of financing business activity.

 Increase of the market value of the enterprise as its main financial goal (concept and objectives of enterprise value valuation). Equity in financing the enterprise. Financing business activity with liabilities towards trading partners. Influence of capital structure on company value. Sources of financing business activity at various stages (setting up a company, development, mergers, acquisitions): own funds, shares, bonds, loans, EU funds, public money, others.

Warunki zaliczenia

The condition for passing is to develop and present in groups a presentation on a selected topic related to the financing of business activity using the basic theoretical issues presented in the lecture and practical examples. The number of points obtained is divided by group members according to their individual contribution to the presentation. The grade from the exercises will depend in 50% on the points received for the prepared presentation and in 50% on the activity in individual classes
