Cel przedmiotu

The course elaborates on the history of Roman Britain from its conquest by Rome to the fifth century A.D. Emphasis is placed on the use of primary sources in translation.

Your grade for class participation will be based on the following:

You are required to attend all of our classes. You could be absent two times without a formal excuse. The other absence you have to cover during individual meetings with me.

You are required to complete all reading assignments in time for the meeting.

You are expected to attend classes having completed all the reading and being prepared to answer my questions, and to participate in the discussion on the material covered that week.

Your goal is to acquire at least 3 points for discussion and/or a presentation (basing on modern literature and ancient texts) by the end of a semester.

3 points - 3,0; 4 points - 3,5; 5 points - 4; 6 points - 4,5; 7 points and more - 5.
