Cel przedmiotu

The aim of the course is to present the most important principles of a democratic state of law, which will identify the basic institutions of the rule of law and characterize the principles of their functioning.

Ways of understanding the term "state of law".
Different models of modern states of law.
Factors affecting the democratic state of law.
The formal legal state and the substantive legal state.
Freedoms, rights and duties of citizens and the means of their protection in a democratic state of law.
Threats to the state of law.
How membership in international organizations affects the rule of law.
