Cel przedmiotu

The aim of the course is to present some innovative approaches to the social work with children and the youth. The purpose is to discuss some selected good practice examples. It is also important to provide students with knowledge and reflection about possibilities of using innovative attitude to work with children and the youth

Zakres tematyczny

• Theoretical bases of social work
• Specificity of social work with children and youth.
• Innovative methods of work with children (sociotherapy).
• Art therapy in Poland
• Dance and music therapy and many others  – why are they still underestimated methods?
• Innovative methods of work with addicted children
• Cyber addictions – innovative methods of work
• Work with children and young people involved in crimes
• Other good practice examples and cases of social work with the youth.

Warunki zaliczenia

The course ends with a grade . The verification method is an essay on a chosen topic and active work during the classes
