The course aims at familiarizing th students with selected sounds of American English which are difficult for Poles, as well as with elements of prosody..
A completed course in English phonetics, a command of English at a level that allows full participation in the classes.
The classes consist of practical exercises that improve articulation: at the segmental level - selected sounds (vowels, consonants and diphthongs) of American English that cause difficulties for Poles, and at the suprasegmental level: (word, phrasal, sentence) stress, intonation and rhythm.
Conversational lecture, laboratory exercises, situational method, production exercises.
