Knowledge: learning the basic vocabulary and elementary grammar rules of the Polish language and Polish sociocultural realities.
Skills: communicating in Polish with users of Polish in various spheres of life at A1 level in speech and writing.
Competences: receptive communication, productive at A1 level and intercultural - developing curiosity and tolerance towards other nations.

The scope of the material covers several thematic areas. Topics can be modified, extended, e.g. due to the needs of learners and their interests. The basic catalog of topics includes: the Polish alphabet, internationalisms, making contact, greeting and farewell formulas, asking and expressing well-being; introducing yourself, asking about your age, email address, occupation and interests; names of countries and their citizens, defining the characteristics of people; check-in at the hotel, dormitory, Polish cities and rivers, names of streets, squares, buildings, map of Zielona Góra; asking for directions, directions, providing an address; numbers 1-100, names of banknotes and coins, money exchange at the exchange office; shopping, names of food products; placing an order in a cafe, in a restaurant, names of dishes; ordering a taxi; color names; Holidays in Poland, birthday and Christmas wishes. The curriculum also includes grammar-syntactic, stylistic and functional issues.
Work in pairs, individual work (independent and under the guidance of a teacher). Working with a textbook: phonetic and grammar exercises, role-playing, listening to texts, watching movies, working with dictionaries, practicing oral [removed]dialogue and description), interactive exercises (e.g. Quizizz, Wordwall).

VERIFICATION OF LEARNING OUTCOMES AND ASSESSMENT CONDITIONS:
attendance at classes, oral and written statements during classes, obtaining a positive grade from the test verifying the learning
General effects: Development of competences: a) communication in the public and private sphere of life; b) linguistic in the field of grammar, lexis, spelling and phonology; c) sociolinguistic. Mastering basic communication strategies. Assimilation of basic information about Poland, its history and culture.
Specific outcomes: Learners understand: a) globally, selectively short, simple continuous and dialogue utterances with a clear structure, when the utterance rate is slow and the pronunciation is precise; b) globally and selectively simple, short written statements (e.g. form, description, etc.) with a very clear structure. Learners are able to: a) express intentions and perform language functions using vocabulary and grammatical structures within the scope provided for level A1; b) write simple single phrases and sentences, fill out forms with personal data. In addition, learners have sufficient vocabulary to express basic communication needs related to everyday life (approx. 1000 words). They can recognize and correctly use basic grammatical forms and write down familiar words, phrases and phrases. They know and apply the rules of pronunciation that allow them to understand the content of their utterances.
