Cel przedmiotu

The course aims to develop students' knowledge of contemporary culture, life, literature, language and society of English-speaking countries (USA, UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand).

Zakres tematyczny

Elements of culture and knowledge about society in English-speaking countries, including: popular mass media, movies and music, Internet memes, political systems, educational systems, social problems and issues, demographics, key historical events, cultural norms and stereotypes.

Metody kształcenia

The course will be delivered through a series of student-led presentations where interaction and discussion will be encouraged.

Warunki zaliczenia

A pass grade will be given on the basis of a successful presentation and active participation in discussions of other presentations.
