Aim of the course

Discussion of the basics of theater studies and analysis of selected American plays.

Prerequisites

None.

Scope

Analysis of the following aspects manifested by selected American plays:

  1. Theater and personal developing
  2. Interpretation of stage directions
  3. Setting, stage, blocking
  4. Communication in drama
  5. Character constellation
  6. Characterization
  7. Artistic images of famous dramatic characters and their interpretation
  8. Conflict
  9. Animal Studies in theater studies
  10. Theatrical production
