Cel przedmiotu

The aim of the course is to develop students' linguistic knowledge of computer science and new technologies, which are crucial for a successful future career. The course is primarily designed as an introduction to technology concepts for students who have little experience or knowledge in the field.

In addition, students will be required to bring a laptop computer to class.

Zakres tematyczny

The course will be practical and will help develop students' knowledge and awareness of key ideas, terms and concepts in the world of IT and new technologies. The course will cover a wide range of concepts, including:

• identification and naming of hardware components and analysis of software types,
• understanding the basic concepts of software development,
• using computer translation for work-related purposes explore the world of online revenue generation,
• understanding how to use the Internet to develop language skills,
• exploring how English philology graduates can start a career in the IT world.

Metody kształcenia

The course will consist of interactive classes with an emphasis on practical knowledge and skills. Assessment will be based on active participation in class, homework and a practical demonstration or presentation at the end of the course.

Warunki zaliczenia
