Cel przedmiotu

The aim of this course is to:

  • master the basic knowledge and basic skills necessary to understand the rules in art and design. The aim of this course is to gain the ability of recording synthetic and linear design information on the design stage of the development project, as well as on the final stage.

  • learn and understand the principles of spatial composition Interior, such as: harmony, contrast, balance, accents, scale, diversity etc.

As a result of the exercise, the student should be able to:

  • recognize individual architects elements of building and its interior,

  • sketch elements of interiors and architecture details

  • make use of use of bibliographic materials (documentation of studies of the tough field, catalogues, application of standards, normative and technical conditions of design, master some basic skills of:

  • architectural design of residential building;

  • equipment design and residential interior design;

  • architectural design of public building;

  • architectural design of building for the purpose of service;

  • design of building plots for detached houses;

  • design of building land for multifamily housing;

  • design elements of small architecture (architecture details).

The creative thinking and ability to analysis the issues.

Zakres tematyczny

Student learns basic rules of spatial composition: harmony, contrast, balance, placing emphasis, using scale and proportions etc.

Student learns to formulate ideas and utility programmes in design tasks, with particular regard to their function.

Student is familiarized with the changes in the interior of a residential or service.

In the teaching process the issues relating to valuation area subject to development and organization design space are covered and discussed.

Metody kształcenia

Classes are based on the implementation of individual projects or work in groups, are connected with the discussion problematic. Classes are complement with presentations and lectures concerning wide aspects of general aesthetic principles, composition principles, construction and technology possibilities, as well as formal aspects of interior design and awareness of the limitations of human ergonomics.

Warunki zaliczenia

Grade equals the grade of exam.

Included with the assessment on the basis of the work done and presentation of the project.

Presentation of design process and finalizing project in the specified period are the conditions to pass the course.

Student's work and project is rated overall, considering the attendance, participation and involvement, and systematic work.
