Aim of the course

The aim of the lecturer is to provide knowledge about the selected sub-discipline of sociology with reference to world and Polish literature, showing the rooting of the sub-discipline in the concepts and trends of sociological theories.

  1. Historical conditions of the sub-discipline.
  2. Definitional approach to the subject matter
  3. Basic theoretical concepts.
  4. Basic research methods used in the sub-discipline.
  5. Discussion of selected issues within the sub-discipline.
  6. Research results within the sub-discipline

Assignment conditions

Lecture – written mid-term exam, minimum threshold of requirements to obtain 50% of points..

Classes – preparation of the presentation (compliance with the topic, correct work structure, language, reliability, independence of the work, proper selection of the subject literature, correct presentation, ability to answer questions about the presented material).

The final grade in the subject is the arithmetic mean of grades from the classes and the lecture.
