Aim of the course

Familiarization with the principles of installation, configuration, security and usage of the webshops, including the payment integration.

Prerequisites

Communication systems for e-Business.

Scope

Principles of e-business computer systems' security.

Configuration and usage for modern webshop platforms:

  • principles of the Linux system configuration for the platform installation,
  • configuration of the webshop platform,
  • methods of electronic payment processing and their integration with the webshops,
  • use of the webshop for the internet-based sales.

Comparison of functionality and the total cost of ownership for selected platforms.

Teaching methods

Lecture - conventional lecture using a projector.

Lab - hands-on classes at the computer lab.

Assignment conditions

Lecture - written test administered at the end of the semester,

Lab - the final grade is calculated as a weighted sum of marks for each element of the course.

Final grade - 50% grade of the Lecture and 50% grade of the Lab.
