Aim of the course

To acquaint students with the fundamental ethical, legal and economic issues related to intellectual property.

Teaching students the ability to identify and solve problems related to intellectual property issues correctly.

Providing practical skills in the adequate protection of intellectual property.

Scope

Basic concepts and legal regulations concerning intellectual property.

International agreements relating to the protection of intellectual property

Copyright. Industrial property Law.

Protection of inventions by patenting, protection of utility models, industrial designs, the topography of integrated circuits. Protection of trademarks and service marks.

Commercialization of intellectual property.

Procedure before the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.

Patent classification, INID codes.

Intellectual property on the Internet.

Competition and consumer protection. Acts of unfair competition.
