Aim of the course

The course is designed for students who want to become familiar with different approaches to identity (especially narrative identity), as well as identify their own identity pattern.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of human development.

Scope

Variety of identity definitions: classical definitions, identity as a process.

Narrative identity: forming of narrative identity, general narrative tones , features of a good narrative.

Personal myths: identifying personal myth, cultural and social sources of personal myths.

Telling stories in psychotherapy and research.

Teaching methods

Discussion, case studies, reading texts, films.
