The aim of the course is the preparation of conductors to use their vocal organ in a correct and conscious way. Preparation of the student to teach voice training individually and in vocal ensembles.
Receiving a pass in the subject “Introduction to voice training” and optionally “Classical singing” or “Pop and jazz singing” during the undergraduate studies.
Semester I:
Development of practical skills concerning the phonation, breathing and resonance.
The types of articulation in singing.
The kinds of voices - the basic classification.
Methods of work on the elements of singing technique (opening of the apparatus, resonance, breathing, combining of registers, a smooth timbre of consonants, the types of articulation).
Diction exercises
A correct performance of the following works during the semester (a minimum):
a) vocal etudes – 5 exercises (selection) b) three various works (air, song)
